Sangath a leading Goan NGO working in the areas of child development, adolescent and youth health, and mental health has the following vacancies :















Sangath is launching a community based programme for people with Alzheimer's disease and other related conditions in South Goa (to be based in Raia). We invite applications for the following vacancies. The jobs are full time.

Project Coordinator:
Essential : Masters Degree in Psychology/SocialWork/Physiotherapy/Occupational therapy or other allied medical fields and an aptitude for field work, training, day to day management of the project.Candidates with prior experience in neuro-rehabilitation, experience with people with dementia would be preferred.
Contract fees will be as per Sangath salary structure, depending on experience and qualifications .
Home Care Advisor
Essential: Candidate should have passed 12th standard, should be fluent with Konkani, English & local languages, should have prior community work experience for at least 2 years.Candidates who  have worked with people with dementia & have knowledge of psychology, counseling would be preferred.

Contract fees will be as per Sangath salary structure, depending on experience and qualifications

Vacancies for senior positions in mental health and research in Sangath, Goa.  

Sangath (www.sangath.com) is a mental health NGO whose work has gained local, national and international recognition with tangible impact on policies and programs.  We are looking for experienced, dynamic professionals to work in large multicentre community based mental health research and service programs located in Goa and Maharashtra. The programs involve the delivery of psychological treatments for people with mental disorders by primary care and community workers. Apart from technical skills mentioned below, potential candidates must have superior leadership and interpersonal skills with experience in program management and networking with government and local agencies. Fluency in English is a must. In addition, fluency in Marathi and/or Konkani as well as knowledge of the local culture will be a distinct advantage. The positions require excellent writing skills and computer literacy.  The positions we seek to fill are:

1.    Deputy Clinical Director (full time)-  The essential requirements for this position are a postgraduate qualification in psychiatry or clinical psychology or social work with specific experience in the  delivery of psychological treatments with adults, such as cognitive behaviour therapy, interpersonal therapy, etc.  

2.    Senior Research Coordinator (full time). The candidate should have a masters degree in public health/ epidemiology with experience in program monitoring and evaluation, data analyses and writing scientific papers. Specific skills in qualitative research methodology and data analyses are highly desirable.   
We are also recruiting coordinators for projects (MANAS/PREMIUM) to develop effective psychological treatments for mental disorders.

3.    Project Coordinator (full time) - The essential requirements for the post are a postgraduate degree in any social science or health discipline, experience in project management and leading teams, fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office, and experience in preparing budgets and finance management, and fluent knowledge of Konkani or Marathi.

4. Personal Secretary to work in our administrative team with the specific remit of supporting Prof Vikram Patel. Candidate should have excellent MS office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), skills to use the internet, proficiency in written and spoken English, and related office management skills. Should be willing to work from Prof Patel's office at his residence (Britona) as well as in the Sangath office (Porvorim).  Prior secretarial/administrative experience is desirable but not essential.
