Clinical Services Partnerships
  • Community based multi-disciplinary mental health services for children, adolescents and adults.

  • Developed a model of inclusive education for children with disabilities in collaboration with government pre-schools under the ICDS program.

  • Set up four resource rooms in mainstream schools for children with learning difficulty.

  • Initiated a program for integrated community based interventions for promoting youth health in South Goa.
    Initiated a program for integrating care for common mental disorders (depression and anxiety) in primary health care centres and private family doctor clinics.

  • Sensitized community workers in Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu to address grief and bereavement among tsunami affected people in a few affected villages.

  • Appointed as resource persons in Learning Disabilities for the Rehabilitation Council of India.

  • Recognized by National Trust (Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India) as a nodal agency in the area of disabilities.

  • Member of the Goa State Commission for Children (GSCC) framed under the Goa Children's Act (2003).

  • Member of round table discussion on the National Curriculum Framework 2005, organised by the Goa Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.

  • Appointed as the NGO member for North Goa on the District Inspection Team to inspect shelter homes which have to be compulsorily registered under the Goa Children's Act 2003.

  • Annual ten-day training course on intensive methods in community health research.

  • Sangath researchers train research groups in other Indian NGOs (e.g. Positive People, CRHP).

Research Programs Organisational Management
  • Recognition by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (Government of India) as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (till March 2009).

  • Scientific publications in leading international journals including Archives of General Psychiatry, British Journal of Psychiatry, British Medical Journal, International Journal of Epidemiology & British Journal of Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

  • Strong partnerships with Directorate of Health Services (Government of Goa), Goa Medical College, Goan NGOs, national and international NGOs and academic institutions.

  • Research findings profiled in leading international policy documents such as the World Health Report (2005) and the Disease Control Priorities in Developing Countries (2006).

  • External evaluation by Murray Culshaw a management consultant from Bangalore .

  • Streamlined administration with reorganization of staff and job responsibilities in the administrative department.

  • External HRD report by Mr. Pradeep Salgaonkar (Professor-Goa University) for restructuring of salary scales to bring in parity in salaries and put in HR policies.

  • FCRA approval received due to change in MC and registered address.

  • Raia property completed and occupied on 1st June 2006.
